![]() Both NPCs are now useless, and you're stuck unable to ever leave the Bandit Lair. But Shigaz also won't let you leave with him, saying you need to find a way to open the door to get out (which you can't do without further exploring the room that is behind a key-locked door you now cannot ever open). I then find out that Haruna is now scripted to have a dialog where he's "tending to Shigaz's wounds" and won't give you the damn key. I didn't know this, and explored the whole area killing all enemies before going back to Shigaz. I found a game-breaking bug (or more likely just a game-breaking oversight) that has ruined my 61.5 hours playthrough because there's no way to fix it after the fact.īasically you're meant to meet an npc named Haruna who gives you a key to unlock a couple unlockpickable doors, but he only gives the key to you if you meet him BEFORE beating the bandit boss. You think that's bad, try the Bandit Lair. I have not brought Sevilin along once - two Blademasters doesn't seem to make sense - but at this point it seems I am going to have to keep running back and forth between 'Kri's tower and Avadon, 'til sheer luck nets me the win. What with those minions being elementals and, by some logic, magical enemies being more resistant to Hands' magic than the Hands are to theirs, I figured Shima would be a safe bet. I initially tried this battle with Jenell, and was doing relatively well - (though I did not realize it until) I then brought Shima along and did worse (which confounded me, because I had tried the Shade Sorceress battle with Nathalie and then brought Shima and was successful on the second try). This inconsistency leads me to try attacking 'Kri, failing, and then, because I wasted a turn Beloch summons another f ck n minion, making it take even longer before I can try attacking 'Kri again. If, however, there are only two and I killed one of them, 'Kri is still immune to my attacks. Sometimes, if, say, there are four minions and I kill all but one, I am then able to attack 'Kri successfully. 'Kri has Beloch summon minions damn near every turn and you have to kill those before attacking 'Kri, else he'll be impervious to your attacks. It's nothing but b llsh t though, causing me to believe the battle an exercise in futility. What prompts my rage with Moritz'Kri, though, is that the battle is very nonsensical ((")unfair(")) - which I guess makes sense, considering he's a wizard that is being aided by a demon and it's minions. Of course, I beat the Shade Sorceress minutes after posting this originally, so. Say all that to say, by including such Achievements as "Bring only one Follower with you," some of these battles seem impossible while doing so. I refuse to believe that the developer's intent was for us to do a seperate playthrough for each of the Achievements that are dependent upon how you play the whole game and on what difficulty - that would require playtime in excess of hundredSSSS of hours. I'm trying for the Achievement "Have no more than one Follower besides yourself" on Normal difficulty. Now, I've found that the battle with Moritz'Kri is even worse (and I've read that the battle with Redbeard (if you choose to do it) is, of course, The worst). (I edited this post to be all about terrible boss battleS - I didn't consider that some of the gimmicks in the boss battles could be worse than in The Ruined Hall) The Ruined Hall is close to souring me on Avadon. I thought that would be the part that would most stick out in my mind (provided something more (")epic(") doesn't happen later). I very much enjoyed the event that had you racing to escape the flooding tunnels, your way through. (Originally, this post was all about "The Ruined Hall")
